Héctor Fernández P.

Héctor Fernández Pineda is a founding partner of Fernández & Asociados and one of the most recognized figures in litigation and intellectual property in Honduras. Over more than 25 years, he led the litigation practice at an internationally prestigious firm, where he represented clients in highly complex judicial proceedings and built a reputation grounded in strategic rigor and results.

His experience encompasses the defense of trademarks, patents, and copyrights, as well as litigation in matters of unfair competition and commercial disputes. Among the most notable cases of his career is the defense of Pfizer, S.A. against an unfair competition claim in Honduras: following an adverse ruling at first instance that imposed substantial damages, his appellate strategy persuaded the Court of Appeals to fully overturn the judgment, releasing his client from all liability. The case illustrates how a well-founded defense can dismantle the presumptions of cause and effect underlying this type of claim.

He holds a degree in Legal and Social Sciences from the Universidad de San Pedro Sula (USAP). His deep command of litigation and intellectual property, combined with a strategic vision forged in high-profile cases, enables him to offer companies robust representation aimed at protecting their most valuable interests.
